2. Knowledge is Power –Download the free 7 Step Plan.
Positive and healthy habits don’t happen by accident. They happen when they are planted nurtured, cultivated and grown. To raise positive and healthy children we must help them develop healthy and positive habits. This plan will help you incorporate simple habits that will make all the difference. So get informed, take action and improve your child’s health with this plan.

3. Get Children off the Dot.Com Chair
Children were meant to move and be active. They weren’t meant to sit down all day playing video games and watching television. Many children Jon knows can’t even run 100 yards. We must get children off the chair to help them build strong bodies and healthy minds. It’s not hard. Children can do simple exercises (featured on this website) at home and at school that will provide the physical activity they need for physical, mental and emotional health.

4. Teach Children the Difference Between Whole Food and Fake Food.
Even more than adults our children’s growing and developing bodies and brains need nutrients, vitamins, water, minerals, healthy fats (not trans fats) and protein from nature’s whole food sources to function optimally. Instead of foods with chemicals that are made in factories children’s natural bodies and brains need more food that grow on trees and plants. Their bodies know what to do with fruit but it has no recognition of a fruit rollup. Feeding children whole foods and healthy fats such as Omega 3’s instead of trans fats enhances their brain development and improves learning and behavior. Eating the right foods will enhance every aspect of your child’s health.

5. Fuel Children Up with the Ultimate Energy Drink.
Our children’s bodies are made of 70% water so they need water not diet soda to fuel their minds and bodies. The solution is simple. Encourage them to drink more water. Serve chilled water instead of juice and soda at home. Replace soda machines with water vending machines at school and encourage the sale of water as part of your school lunch program.

6. Teach children to Discover their Mental and Emotional Power.

Since 80% of adult success is determined by emotional management and emotional intelligence it is essential that we give the students the mental and emotional skills they need to succeed in the world. We must teach children how to handle stress, overcome adversity and choose positive thinking instead of negative thinking. When children develop the habit of positive thinking they improve their health, happiness, emotional and physical development. And when children develop their emotional power they create more success and experience less stress.

7. Improve Your Schools Lunch, Exercise and Vending Programs.

When did fried chicken patties, fried tater tots, French fries, hot dogs and other fast food type meals become acceptable to serve our children? Unfortunately parents and school districts are causing their children undue harm and setting them up for a life of unhealthy habits without even realizing it. The foods we are feeding our children and the habits we are allowing have lead to a dramatic decrease in their health and wellness. We must transform school lunch, exercise and vending programs NOW. Take action and help your school get rid of the unhealthy snacks and sodas from the vending machines, transform the school lunch program and encourage daily exercise at school. The solutions are simple and our 5 Step Healthy Positive School Plan will help any school district take action.
