Strong
Minds can be Developed
1. The latest research in neuro-science demonstrates
that positive thinking, happiness and positive
energy are habits and skills that can be developed
and learned.
2. Research shows that the more we focus on
gratitude, our strengths and our happiness
the happier we become.
3. The brain is actually molded and shaped
by what we think and when we think positively
there is more activation in the left prefrontal
cortex—the site of the brain associated
with positive emotions.
4. The more you activate this part of the
brain the more automatic and stronger the
response becomes so overtime your brain just
goes to that state. Thus, we can train ourselves
and brains to focus on the positive and be
happier.
What
it means for our Children
5. The magnitude of this research
in regards to a child’s learning and
development is enormous.
6. We can help mold and teach children’s
brains to think more positively. We can help
them build mental and emotional muscle by
having them do simple positive thinking exercises
each day. And like reading or math exercises
they will acquire greater skill with more
practice.
7. With a brain that is molded toward the
positive children will develop a more optimistic
outlook on life. They will be able to handle
challenges better and they will enhance all
aspects of their health and future success.
8. We must teach this. |
